In an effort to continually improve the end user experience, Planet Telecom is constantly on the look out for ways to improve our network.
Currently, We are in the process of installing new battery backup solutions in all of our tower sites, which we are targeting to deliver a backup time of nearly 18 hours.
We have accomplished this by using native 24 volt solutions coupled with Tycon charge controllers for a best in class solution - further improving the already excellent user experience for our clients.
We are also in the final stages of moving our main radio link equipment from the 2nd floor of the Banco Universal tower to the eighth floor.
While this move was not critical, it will give us a better location for our equipment and will include more robust climate control, ensuring that we enhance our reliability for our client base.
We hope to do the final cutover in the next weeks; there will be a short outage when this takes place; we will try and keep it to the utmost minimum, will be sending a broadcast prior to the cut over.
